The legendary Charlotte Hornets announcer Steve Martin joins me to talk about Charlotte’s off-season moves, the outlook on the team’s future and to share his favorite Hornets memories from the past:

The change of him going from television to radio next season;
The Nicolas Batum for Gerald Henderson and Noah Vonleh trade;
What a bargain Michael Kidd-Gilchrist‘s extension is and how great his and Kemba Walker‘s work ethic is;
How the new additions to the team have bought in and have showed up at the involuntary practices;
Coach Steve Clifford’s impact and him visiting all of the players during the summer;
His memories of Gerald Henderson addressing the fans on the last game of the 7-59 season;
Traveling with the team now and back in the 1980s;
His favorite Hornets team being the 1992-93 team, their first-round series against Boston;
The expansion 1988-89 Hornets and their win against the Chicago Bulls;
NBA League Pass adding the option of being able to choose radio broadcasters next season.
