It’s the NBA playoff record for a 5-game series! Dikembe Mutombo blocks 31 shots in the 1994 First Round match-up against the Seattle SuperSonics.

It’s a video that I had to re-create after I heard the news of Dikembe’s passing. People like Rob Mahoney at the Ringer have already done a great job at writing an obituary. The only thought I want to stress is that Dikembe was a terrific basketball player, yet an even better human being. As much as we get caught up in athletic achievements, his off-the-court accomplishments are the ones that count more.
